Winter Magic in The Berkshires: Christmas Trees, Holiday Events, and New Traditions at Woodlife Farm Market
A Holiday Destination in the Heart of New Lebanon
Each year, Woodlife Farm Market transforms into a cozy, bustling holiday hub. Visitors wander the market with warm mulled cider, holiday cocktails, or hot chocolate in hand. The shelves invite them in with the scent of small-batch pantry staples and the charm of locally made, one-of-a-kind gifts.
But the real magic waits just outside.
Guests step into the winter woods to choose the centerpiece of their season—whether it’s a cut-your-own Christmas tree grown right on the property or a premium pre-cut tree from the curated lot. Woodlife offers three beloved varieties, each selected for fragrance, durability, and shape:
Balsam Fir
A nostalgic classic with that unmistakable Christmas scent, soft needles, and a traditional pyramid shape.
Fraser Fir
A premium option with strong branches that hold heavy ornaments well and excellent needle retention. The two-tone needles create a subtle, beautiful silvery shimmer.
Douglas Fir
Full, lush, and soft to the touch. A great choice for anyone who loves a bushier, storybook holiday silhouette.
Tree-choosing tip: Gently pull on a branch; healthy needles should stay in place. Then lift and tap the base on the ground. If only a few needles fall, you’ve found a great tree.
And then comes something you won’t find at most farms: a taper pin drill, ideal for specialty stands. Whether you bought your tree at Woodlife or elsewhere, the team is happy to drill it for you and help you get it holiday-ready.
Holiday Happenings at Woodlife Farm Market
With the holiday season in full swing, Woodlife Farm Market is offering handcrafted wreaths made from their own tree trimmings. Visitors can choose a ready-made wreath or preorder a custom design to fit their holiday décor.
And the wreaths are just the beginning. All season long, Woodlife Farm Market is hosting festive events for families and neighbors alike.
